Greetings Queer Brethren:
I was walking home from a lesbian couple friends' place, on Cortland Ave in Bernal Heights at around midnight last night (Tues 1/6), holding hands with my boyfriend as we walked with our other friends, who happen to be a straight couple. We passed by Skip's Tavern and there were a group of sketchy-looking people outside. As we walked by, we heard "what's your last name faggot?" yelled out. Since it was a cowardly behind-our-backs call we chose to ignore it and continue on. Besides, I was pretty surprised and freaked out to hear such insanity on the top of very queer-friendly Bernal Hill. So, I'm proposing a Guerilla Queer Bar meeting at Skip's sometime in the near future. Feedback? Is this a good or horribly bad idea?

How about doing a Friday night take over of the new, hip, straight Bambuddah Lounge. I'll set it up. Daniel

Keep up the good or should I say 'bad' guerilla work!
I agree: mindless folks waitintg in long lines to get into a bar? Excuse me. Plus the Badlands and the Café have both introduced a weekend cover charge. For what? For allowing you buy their overpriced underpoured drinks.
